In Rwandan culture,GIRINKA means 'have a cow.'
GIRINKA is the Rwandan government 'One cow for one poor family' programme launched in 2006.AS part of that programme,the poorest families are gifted dairy cows by the government.First female calf born of the cow is gifted to the neighbour to promote brotherhood among community.
India will gift 200 cows for GIRINKA programme during Prime Minister NARENDRA MODI's visit to RWANDA.
